The Palestinians and al-Tamimi family held a funeral for the 43-year-old man, Abdel Muttalib al-Khatib al-Tamimi, at dawn on Friday, at Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid restrictive conditions imposed by the Israeli Occupation authorities.

Khatib, 43, lost his life a few days ago during interrogation at Al-Maskobiya interrogation center in occupied East Jerusalem.

A spokesperson for the Palestinian Prisoners Society NGO, Amani Sarahneh, told Anadolu Agency “Testimonies gathered from his families and other detainees show that he was electrified and beaten."

She added that causes of the death will be determined after conducting an autopsy on his body.

“Palestinian NGOs and Jerusalem governorate accuse the [Israeli Occupation] of killing al-Khatib,” she said.

Khatib was detained by Israeli Occuparion Forces (IOF) for a traffic violation.
